objectivesThe Advanced Asbestos Awareness in Schools training from OSHA Education School is a certificate/card level course designed to meet the annual OSHA (40 CFR 763.92) and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulatory requirements in one, two-hour course. Asbestos training is required upon initial assignment, as well as annually, for all those who perform housekeeping operations in area which asbestos containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos containing materials (PACM).
This particular training familiarizes participants with basic occupational safety and health principles, as well as essential techniques related to asbestos awareness in schools. This course is geared towards all maintenance and custodial personnel, but will benefit all those who may come into contact with ACM or PACM.
NOTICE: Any maintenance for custodial staff whose duties will result in the disturbance of ACM or PACM must receive an additional 14 hours of training prior to starting work.
OSHA Education School’s Advanced Asbestos Awareness in Schools follows federal and state OSHA guidelines, as well as Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards. descriptionAdvanced Asbestos Awareness in Schools is a certificate/card level course that satisfies yearly OSHA (40 CFR 763.92) and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulatory requirements in a two-hour session. All employees performing housekeeping activities in areas containing asbestos containing materials (ACM) or suspected asbestos containing materials must get asbestos training at initial assignment and yearly afterwards (PACM). This course introduces participants to fundamental occupational safety and health concepts, as well as critical strategies for promoting asbestos awareness in schools. This training is designed for all maintenance and cleaning staff, but will benefit anybody who comes into touch with ACM or PACM.
You must score at least 70% to pass this OSHA 2 training. You will be given up to THREE opportunities to pass the quizzes and final exam.
Failure to pass quizzes and the final exam will result in being locked out of this online training program, but the learner can repurchase and start back from the beginning.
Upon completing this Advanced Asbestos Awareness In Schools and the accompanying survey, you will receive an OSHA 2 card from the provider of this OSHA training on behalf of the Department of Labor.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
