By taking Cal Trenching and Excavation for Construction, California-based construction leadership and workers will learn how to follow relevant safety standards to avoid injuries and fatalities on the job.
NOTE: This course is based on Cal/OSHA 8 CCR 1539 to 1541.1 for all construction workers employed in California. For those working outside California, please consult our other courses designed and based on Federal OSHA regulations.

This covers laws governing construction employees who do trenching and excavation operations, as well as those who work on construction sites where these activities occur. By enrolling in Cal Trenching and Excavation for Construction, California construction executives and employees will learn how to adhere to applicable safety requirements in order to avoid workplace injuries and deaths. This training is based on Cal/OSHA 8 CCR 1539 through 1541.1 and is required of all California construction employees. If you work in a state other than California, please review our other courses that are based on Federal OSHA standards. This California trenching and excavation training course was developed in accordance with Cal/construction OSHA's safety regulations.
You must score at least 70% to pass this OSHA training. You will be given up to THREE opportunities to pass the quizzes and final exam.
Failure to pass quizzes and the final exam will result in being locked out of this online training program, but the learner can repurchase and start back from the beginning.
Upon completing this Cal Trenching And Excavation For Construction and the accompanying survey, you will receive an OSHA card from the provider of this OSHA training on behalf of the Department of Labor.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
