objectivesAlong with falls, electrocution, and struck-by accidents, OSHA has placed a national focus on incidents when workers are caught in or between vehicles, equipment, or machinery among the Focus Four, the most dangerous hazards found on construction worksites. By definition, a caught-in/-between hazard occurs wherever workers may become pinned, crushed, squeezed, or caught between moving and/or stationary objects. When these accidents occur, they often result in injury or even death. The Focus Four Caught Between Fatality Prevention for Construction course helps workers and managers identify and avoid these hazards to help ensure everyone stays safe on the job.
Focus Four Caught Between Fatality Prevention for Construction helps employees understand the dangers of caught-in/-between hazards and how to minimize them in the workplace. Course topics include:
The OSHA Focus Four
Common caught‐in or ‐between hazards
How to avoid and minimize hazards
Best practices for working safely near caught-in/-between hazards
How to escape caught‐in or ‐between hazards
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

When these collisions occur, they frequently result in serious injury or death. The Focus Four Caught Between Fatality Prevention for Construction training teaches employees and managers how to recognize and avoid these risks, ensuring that everyone on the project remains safe. Focus Four Caught Between Fatality Prevention for Construction educates personnel on the perils of caught-in/between hazards and how to prevent them on the job.
