To help reduce these incidents and enhance job site safety, New York City’s Department of Buildings (NYC DOB) created additional fall hazard standards to supplement those established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The NYC SST-307 8-Hour Fall Prevention for Construction course provides extensive training on fall hazard identification, evaluation, prevention, and more to adhere to all federal and NYC Local Law 196 regulations regarding worksite falls.
NOTICE: New York City Local Law 196 (LL196) of 2017 specifies that, as part of the course requirements for 8-Hour Fall Prevention, trainees demonstrate wearing generic fall protection equipment.

The NYC SST-307 8-Hour Fall Prevention for Construction course includes comprehensive training on fall hazard identification, evaluation, prevention, and more in order to comply with all federal and NYC Local Law 196 worksite fall laws. New York City Local Law 196 (LL196) of 2017 mandates that trainees demonstrate using generic fall protective equipment as part of the 8-Hour Fall Prevention course requirements.
You must score at least 70% to pass this OSHA 8 training. You will be given up to THREE opportunities to pass the quizzes and final exam.
Failure to pass quizzes and the final exam will result in being locked out of this online training program, but the learner can repurchase and start back from the beginning.
Upon completing this NYC SST-307 8-Hour Fall Prevention For Construction and the accompanying survey, you will receive an OSHA 8 card from the provider of this OSHA training on behalf of the Department of Labor.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.

All participants who successfully complete NYC SST-307 8-Hour Fall Prevention for Construction will receive:
A certificate of completion
8 hours of training from a DOB-approved vendor that applies to LL196 requirements for approved Site Safety Training (SST), including voice-authenticated proctoring
8 Continuing Education Unit from an accredited IACET provider
To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete all course materials, receive a minimum score of 70% at each knowledge checkpoint, and complete the course evaluation.
