OSHA Education School’s Portable Fire Extinguisher Awareness for All Industries online training is designed specifically to help minimize the risk of injuries and damage due to workplace fires and/or explosions. In order to train individuals how to put out fires, participants will learn the four elements that must be present at the same time in order for a workplace fire to exist. Participants can also expect to learn the classification of fires, how to use a portable extinguisher, and how to conduct maintenance and inspections. Specific course topics include the following:

descriptionThe Portable Fire Extinguisher Awareness for All Industries online course is intended to supplement your existing fire safety knowledge. Participants will study the fundamentals of fire extinguisher safety, the six stages of inspection, and the five fire classifications based on the kind of fuel involved in a fire. Furthermore, participants will learn how to check and record portable fire extinguishers on the job site in accordance with OSHA requirements. The online training course Portable Fire Extinguisher Awareness for All Industries was created to assist reduce the risk of workplace accidents and property damage caused by flames and/or explosions. To teach people how to extinguish flames, participants will understand the four components that must exist concurrently for a workplace fire to occur.
You must score at least 70% to pass this OSHA training. You will be given up to THREE opportunities to pass the quizzes and final exam.
Failure to pass quizzes and the final exam will result in being locked out of this online training program, but the learner can repurchase and start back from the beginning.
Upon completing this Portable Fire Extinguisher Awareness For All Industries and the accompanying survey, you will receive an OSHA card from the provider of this OSHA training on behalf of the Department of Labor.
Students who successfully complete the program will receive a completion card issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
